Ashley Furniture Seafoam Couch – Are you needing a new sofa? New couches are fine, however they’ll cost you an arm and a leg. If you are on a budget, you may consider turning into Craigslist.org. This classified site has plenty of used couches for sale at very good rates, but what should you consider when purchasing?
Always see pictures first. A picture speaks a multiple words, especially when it comes to furniture. If a Craigslist seller has a fantastic price on a sofa and they did not post pictures, email them asking those pictures. Save yourself a drive to check at a sofa that is covered in cigarette burns and so forth.
Make sure the image is of the sofa and the sofa alone. Some Craigslist sellers are crafty. They understand their sofa is crap, so that they head on down to Bed Bath and Beyond and purchase a $10 couch-cover on clearance. They cover the sofa and have a picture. You’re purchasing the sofa for the sofa, not for the cover.
Never buy a sofa that’s been sitting outside for weeks. Craigslist sellers who do this aren’t crafty, but instead not believing. These sellers don’t think to sell their old sofa until a few weeks later. During that time, it sat outside maybe coming into contact with rain, wind, snow, sunlight, rodents, insects, and bird feces. Do you really want that in your living space? I’d hope not.
Possessing a transportation plan first. Never contact a vendor and state “I will purchase your sofa, but I need a few days to figure out the way to pick it up.” Never do this especially if they state sofa has to be gone in one day. Cover this base first. Should youn’t have a big van or truck, buddy up with a friend who does. Tell that friend, “I want to purchase a sofa within the next few times, will you help me?” There you go, you finally have a plan.
Always keep bedbugs in your mind. On account of the name, we often make the mistake of assuming bedbugs are only found within our beds. They aren’t. They also live in sofas and other types of fabric furniture. Did you know that Colorado State cancelled their Great Sofa Roundup in 2009 due to bedbug fears? They did. Bedbugs are tricky since they’re easy to spread, meaning that they may appear within an otherwise blank home. However, always use your very best judgment. If you have to walk round piles of garbage to see that the sofa, kindly state “no, that was not what I was looking for.”
